3 Boston Bars that you Need to Check Out

Boston is one of our favorite cities and a great beer town. Bostonians are serious about their beer- and they’re serious about the bars where drink their beer. The city has tons of great bars and we’ve visited and enjoyed many of them, so when Lina Roque, writing for Boston.com, picked three area bars that serve serious craft beer, we were interested.

, 3 Boston Bars that you Need to Check OutHer first choice was terrific – Lord Hobo has long been a favorite of ours. Located at 92 Hampshire St. near Inman Square, Lord Hobo is a classic beer bar bistro and a great place to drink. They run 40 full-time taps, serve “new American” cuisine and sport a casual hipster vibe. Their beer choices are smart, surprising and plentiful.

Sunset Grill and Tap was new to us but we definitely plan on paying it a visit next time we’re in bean-town. Ms Roque describes it this way:

, 3 Boston Bars that you Need to Check OutNestled in the Allston/Brighton area, Sunset Grill is a beer geek must-visit. Featuring everything from meads and ciders to rare imports and cask-conditioned ales, the beer menu at Sunset is more of a beer catalog; they’ve got 112 taps, 380 microbrews, and various imports.

Sunset Grill’s cuisine is beer infused. They cook with beer whenever they can and are known for their beer ice cream!

Ms Roque’s third choice is a favorite of ours as well. The Publick House, located at 1648 Beacon St. at Washington Square is cozy and old-school and a great place to hang. It’s also a great place for the serious beer freak – especially when it comes to Belgian beer. Their huge menu offers a plethora of specialty brews, including Trappist Ale, Eisbock, and Schwarzbier.
