Pro Football Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith and Peyton Manning were on opposite sidelines for more than a half-dozen years, Smith played with the Dallas Cowboys and Manning who spent 14 seasons as the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and four with the Denver Broncos.

But this season they’ve  join forces for one team: Bud Light with a new commercial that in the wake of the company’s failed alliance with trans influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.

Dubbed ‘Easy Rounds’ the new spot leans heavily on this legendary NFL duo and as with Bud Light ads it’s fun… It also serves to kickoff the brand’s biggest Super Bowl ticket giveaway ever, where the more fans show their love of Bud Light, the more chances they have to win.

With Super Bowl tickets in extremely high demand, we are proud to be the sponsor bringing the most fans to the stands with Bud Light’s biggest Super Bowl ticket giveaway ever,” said Todd Allen, Vice President of Marketing for Bud Light…

“Peyton Manning and Emmitt Smith are two players who know exactly how much energy fans can bring to a game; working with them was an incredible experience and we’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Peyton for years to come.”

It’s beer a turbulent year for Bud Light still reeling from its  brief, but ultimately costly, partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer whose image was put on a Bud Light beer can to celebrate the activist’s “365 Days of Girlhood.”

The initial Dylan Mulvaney announcement took place on April 1 and in spite of Anheuser-Busch’s many efforts to put the matter to bed the brand has been experiencing serious sales declines ever since then.

On the public relations front Anheuser-Busch has been relatively quiet since the initial Dylan Mulvaney post, it’s understandable. But clearly what the company saw as a social media attempt to expand their base, backfired bigtime.

, Bud Light Teams Up With NFL Legends In New Beer AdIt must not be lost on them that their alliance with a transgender activist has alienated many of their core consumers (primarily men) who aren’t necessarily even political, but just not comfortable with Dylan Mulvaney’s journey being associated with the beer they identify with.

But the company’s latest partnership with Emmitt Smith and Peyton Manning couldn’t be more “manly.” And Bud Light’s Super Bowl ticket giveaway is also smart.

Starting December 1, 21+ fans can enter for chances to win Playoff and Super Bowl tickets by scanning Bud Light QR codes, showing off their Bud Light love on their social channels and checking back HERE every week for more opportunities to enter’

Asked by Fox Business why fans should return to Bud Light as their beer of choice…

“It’s an iconic brand, and it’s been around sports for a long time. Every brand itself goes through iterations of highs and lows,” Smith explained. “Even the Dallas Cowboys are going through iterations of highs and lows, and it’s been a low for a long period of time because we haven’t been to the NFC Championship Game.”

“So, in this case, I think with what Bud Light is doing to engage with fans is wonderful.”
