Beer Jobs, Beer Jobs, Beer Jobs And Big Beer Bucks (Washington, DC) – Two leading beer trade organizations, the Beer Institute and the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), recently released a study they commissioned on beer’s economic impact in America and it was encouraging to say the least!

Beer Serves America was the name of that study and it found that the beer biz has created more than 2.23 million jobs that generated a combined $103.3 billion in wages and benefits, and that it contributes more than $350 billion to the American economy, which absolutely doesn’t suck.

Key Beer Findings include the fact that brewers and beer importers directly employ 64,745 Americans…that 58 percent of its brewing jobs are linked to large and mid-sized brewers and beer importers…and that beer distributors directly employ some 134,240 Americans.

The Beer Biz was also found to contribute more than $350 billion in economic output, which amazingly equates to nearly 1.9 percent of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product!
