, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 8, 201390 Cask Ales Meet With 90 Guest Brewers (Atlanta, GA) – Brew Your Cask Off returns to “Hotlanta” this Saturday (11/9) and this is the party you want to crash! This all-evening event is once again taking place at the SweetWater Brewing Company compound and they’ve invited 90 special guests – including retail reps, homebrewers and local celebrities – to create one-of-a-kind cask ales under the direction of Sweetwater’s brewing crew. All these special ales will be available to the public along with the brewery’s entire lineup and they’ll be running brewery tours all night. Some of the ACB crew will also be down there causing trouble, so be sure to let security know if you see them. For more info on a not-to-be-missed evening, check out: BYCO

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 8, 2013On The Big Screen – A lot of superhero movies have opened over the last couple of years and more times than not, they just sucked. 2011’s Thor was an unexpected surprise with a hipness and sense of humor we found refreshing. Sequels can go either way but we’re hopeful that Thor: The Dark World won’t disappoint. All the original film’s players return including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as the spunky Jane Foster, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, one of the best big-screen villains in popcorn-movie history.

Serious Beer Hookup in the Golden State (Haywood, CA) – Northern California’s legendary The Bistro is doing more of what they’re famous for, throwing a helluva party. They’re pouring more than 80 varieties of sours, bourbon-flavored beers, and other tastiness at the 8th Annual West Coast Barrel-Aged Fest and if you’re not thinking about going – you’re not thinking!

TV Time – AMC’s The Walking Dead actually returned for its fourth season a couple of weeks ago but in the age of on-demand and “binge-watching” that matters not. This brooding and visionary zombie apocalypse series, based on a series of comic books of the same name, is less about the monsters that now dominate this dying world and more about what its survivors must become to get by. A smart and ever-changing ensemble cast tethers things ably, making things sad and frighteningly real.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 8, 2013Serious Beer In The Sunshine State (Tallahassee, FL) – The 7th Annual Tallahassee Brewfest returns this Saturday and if you missed the previous six outings, what were you thinking? Join 50 of the region’s best brewers and 2,250 crazed hopheads for an indoor/outdoor beerganza with food, music, and more than 200 beers. VIP tickets with early admission and special stash samplings are also available – so you know what to do. For more info on this weekend’s funfest, check out: Tallassee Brewfest
