, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – May 16, 2014American Craft Beer Week Concludes… (Everytown, USA) – With American Craft Beer Week wrapping up, you might notice that events are happening EVERYWHERE! Our Seattle Correspondent Lindsey already tipped us to Seattle’s Beer Week, where if you missed Thursday’s SausageFest on Dude Island, you can still make it out to 60+ events this weekend. There’s also the Ameri “Can” Canned Beer Fest in Scottsdale Arizona, featuring more than 250 local and national craft beers and the Breakside Brewery’s 4th Anniversary Block Partyfeaturing special anniversary beersand live bandsin Portland, Oregon – but this only scratches the surface. If you throw a rock in America this weekend, chances are you’ll hit a big bearded dude with a taster glass in his hand.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – May 16, 2014On the Big Screen – This weekend, one of the most anticipated releases of the year arrives in theaters–GODZILLA (the title really needs an exclamation point… seriously Warner Bros, you dropped the ball). Featuring Breaking Bad’s crack peddling anti-hero Bryan Cranston and Japanese super-actor Ken Wantanbe, the world’s most famous sweating lizard felt like it was time for some tasty human morsels and more battles with some nuclear freaks of nature. This 3-D, B-movie behemoth is certain to eat away at its competitors at this weekend’s box office.

Get Yer Art On! (Minneapolis, MN) – What many consider to be the unofficial beginning of the summer (or even spring) in the Twin Cities is the magnificent community art festival known as Art-A-Whirl. It features more than 500 artists exhibiting their work in 60 different locations throughout the artsy northeast area of Minneapolis. From rockstar storytelling at Dangerous Man Brewing Saturday to contemporary stained glass at a Lutheran church or live music all over town, you’re sure to find something that itches your artsy-fartsy scratch.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – May 16, 2014DON’T Kill Your Television – Saturday Night Live airs the final episode of their 39th season, ending their things as they began with another former cast-member hosting, this time Andy Samberg. From the man who brought you the great comedy shorts “Dick in a Box,” “Lazy Sunday” and “Jizz in my Pants” comes what’s bound to be one of the best shows of the year. Not to mention musical guest St. Vincent, the queen of sad hipster boys’ hearts around the globe.

Our Stupendous Weekend Beer Pick

Watch out for Firestone Walker’s one-of-a-kind new style, a Central Coast Quad called Stickee Monkey. Weighing in at 13.4%, this Belgian Quad was aged in various liquor barrels, then fused into what sounds to be an earthshaking blend. This might just do the trick after being bludgeoned by Godzilla or in wrapping up a lazy Sunday.
