Denver’s Official, Unofficial Beer Holiday Party (Denver, CO) – Festivus is a fantastic alternative holiday originally introduced in a Seinfeld television segment, which has evolved into one of the nation’s best holiday-themed drinking events. Now in its 8th year, Denver Beer Festivus is ON this Saturday, December, 14th and has asked every brewery in Denver’s city limits to share their favorite brews. A ‘must’ for brewers and beer fans alike, 2019’s afternoon beerganza promises to be a rockin’ good time!
Holiday TV Time & Streaming – With the winter holidays fast approaching, it’s a great time to revisit a classic Christmas flick and Netflix has a number of them that will pair seamlessly with The Best Christmas Ales. We suggest that you start with Bill Murray’s Christmas Special from 2015, if only because it’s so strangely surreal. Directed by Sofia Coppola, who took Murry to another level in Lost in Translation, (another great film), A Very Murray Christmas is a bizarre hour of music, comedy, and celebrity pals who play off Bill Murray at his cheesy lounge singer best.
On the Big Screen – In keeping with our holiday-theme, we’re reluctantly making a Christmas slasher movie our weekend pick (don’t hate us). With a name that basically says it all, Black Christmas tells the story of four Hawthorne College Mu Kappa Epsilon sisters whose plan to ‘deck the halls” with a series of seasonal parties, takes a dark turn when black-masked stalker begins killing sorority women one by one.
