So many beers- So little time… Summer is here and we’ve all the right beers for the season! Plus we’ve some interesting new offerings from Ninkasi and Bell’s that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.
WTF? (Petaluma, CA / Chicago, IL) – Lagunitas just returned a fan favorite limited release and it’s out there now. Rich, smooth, dangerous, and chocolatey, Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot is a big 7.85% Imperial Brown Ale with a hoppy undertow.
Oktoberfest Already? (Madison, WI) – Talk about seasonal creep! Ale Asylum is packaging their first lager and it’s a beer that normally associated with the fall. Stepping away a bit, from their hop-forward ales that have fueled their reputation, Oktillion Oktoberfest is a 6% ABV Oktoberfest Lager that’s shipping on August 1st.
Seasonal Creep II (Comstock, MI) – Maybe Oktoberfest just happens earlier in the Midwest. Maybe that’s the reason for Bell’s (and Ale Asylum’s) early summer releases. Rich, super smooth and highly drinkable, Bell’s Oktoberfest Beer is a 5.5% ABV ode to autumn that’s ironically shipping in August.
Brewed To Boycott Bland (Bloomington, IL) – DESTIHL Brewery has a Wild Sour Series release that’s being canned for the first time. Flush with grapefruit, orange, lemon, tangerine, pineapple and pine notes, that give way to a surprisingly dry finish, DESTIHL’s Synchopathic is a 6% ABV Wild Ale that’s brewed to bring everything in synch.
Get Cooler (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi is making one of their poplar special releases a year-round and as fans of this brewery were happy they have! Insanely bright and tropical, Ninkasi Hop Cooler is a 7.2% Citrus IPA that’s brewed with Equinox, Simcoe, Amarillo, and of course, Citra hops.
