Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Dead At 41

, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Dead At 41Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington was found dead Thursday according to a spokesman for the LA County Coroner.

He was only 41, and like his friend Soundgarden’s Chis Cornell who died on the road earlier this year, it appears he too took his own life.

Multiple sources have confirmed to TMZ who first broke the story, that the musician had hung himself at his home in Los Angeles, where his body was discovered by a housekeeper shortly before 9 AM PT.

The lead singer for the award-wining rap-metal band, which burst on to scene with the debut of Hybrid Theory in 2000 and went on to sell 10 million copies, spoke to a generation.

He was also the lead singer for Dead by Sunrise and fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015.

Like many of us (and so many touring musicians) Bennington had his share of demons, but he made music that mattered and he died too soon

No one takes their life because they’re happy… and we can only hope Chester has found some kind of peace.
