Jurassic Geist – Brewery Displays Huge Dinosaur Skeleton

Rhinegeist, Jurassic Geist – Brewery Displays Huge Dinosaur Skeleton

Well, we gotta admit this is a first… A Cincinnati-based brewery is displaying a 50-foot dinosaur skeleton in their taproom…and yes they’ve brewed a beer to accompany its unveiling!

Here’s the deal…

To celebrate National Dinosaur Day (who knew?), the Cincinnati Museum Center and Rhinegeist have teamed up to present Jurassic Geist a spectacle never seen before (let alone in a taproom).

As part of a special celebration happening today (May 15th) Rhinegeist is displaying the assembled skeleton a giant sauropod, a long-necked herbivore, known as Galeamopus, which lived during the Kimmeridgian Age of the Late Jurassic some 155 million years ago.

Rhinegeist, Jurassic Geist – Brewery Displays Huge Dinosaur SkeletonThis particular dinosaur, which was first discovered in Montana 2000 is extremely rare according to the Drinks Business (who are also apparently Jurassic era experts) only three have so far been found.

And speaking of rarities, Rhinegeist is also unveiling a massive special release that you can enjoy at the taproom dinosaur showing with visiting paleontologists on hand from Cincinnati Museum Center to answer your questions on all things “Jurassic.”

Brewed especially for the gigantic sauropod showing Rhinegeist Brittlebrain is an effervescent, fruity and slightly spicy Belgian Style Golden Ale that’s just ‘Jurassic’ in a glass.
