Celebrity Chef Endorses The ‘Worst Beer In The World’

chef, Celebrity Chef Endorses The ‘Worst Beer In The World’

Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsey. who has seen more kitchen drama than most, is now feeling the heat for having endorsed a beer that some refer to as the worst in the world.

The Hell’s Kitchen host was recently in South Korea filming an episode of the Korean show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, and during the visit he also took time to shoot a commercial for Cass a mass-market brew from that country, that many think is generic at best.

In that commercial Ramsey is seen calling Cass which is brewed by Oriental Brewery a “great beer” that’s “bloody fresh.”

The public’s reaction, once his commercial aired was swift and unforgiving…social media went nuts.

And Ramsey countered with a press conference where the Michelin-starred chef and television personality pulled the ‘political card’ reportedly calling Oriental Brewery‘s Cass a “beer of the people,” and stressing that the beer’s “easy accessibility and fit with Korean cuisine was what drew him to endorse the brand.”

American Craft Beer was relieved to learn that money was not a factor (he would have mentioned that right?), which led Ramsey to flacking a beer that some international beer writers have called “really awful.”
