Black Hole Son – Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Dead At 52

, Black Hole Son – Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Dead At 52Singer, songwriter and lead vocalist Chris Cornell was found dead in Detroit last night, and initial reports are saying that it looks like he may have taken his own life.

Considered, along with Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, to be one of the Grunge movement’s founding fathers, Cornell will best be remembered for his work fronting Seattle’s Soundgarden and Audioslave.

Like so many in the music biz, Mr. Cornell had his share of demons, and was open about his struggles with drugs throughout his career.

Cornell was on tour with the reunited Soundgarden, and reportedly was in the midst of writing and recording its first new album in five years.

The band had wrapped up a show at Detroit’s Fox Theatre on Wednesday and they were scheduled to perform at the Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio the next day…

And sadly that’s not going to happen now…
