AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S LATE JANUARY WEEKEND PICKS

weekend, AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S LATE JANUARY WEEKEND PICKS

2018 is ON…and you’re ready for some fun. Well good, because we’ve got you covered. From the nation’s coolest beer events to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve another weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking.

Boardwalk Beer (Asbury Park, NJ) – The 6th annual Asbury Park BeerFest returns to the Jersey Shore’s historic Convention Hall this weekend and it’s gonna be a blast. 2018’s two-day three-session beerganza feature almost 70 of the region’s best breweries and as usual they’ll be bringing the good stuff.  And this year Asbury’s BeerFest has transformed into a weekend-long event. The Wonder Bar on Fifth and Ocean Avenues, will be hosting a SweetWater Brewing pre-party on Friday night and Brooklyn Brewery will be sponsoring an after-party there on Sunday night.

weekend, AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S LATE JANUARY WEEKEND PICKSOn The Big Screen – This weekend’s new movies are mixed at best. There’s Scott Cooper’s Hostiles an historical western that stars Christian Bale as a legendary Army captain who reluctantly agrees to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory. And there’s also the third film in the sci-fi Maze Runner trilogy. Wes Ball’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure returns Dylan O’Brien to an apocalyptic world where he is forced to embark on a journey to save civilization (you know the usual) so we suggest that you stick with craft beer and Netflix.

TV Time & Steaming – Amazon Prime’s streaming service has added a critically acclaimed horror flick that you might want to check out this weekend. It Comes At Night is a chamber piece about two families thrown together in a world ravaged by a horrendous disease of unknown origin. Working at a level of peak atmospheric terror rarely seen in only a second film, Director Trey Edward Shultz unrelentingly escalates the tension to a realistic yet horrifying conclusion.

A Belgian Yeast Feast (Seattle, WA) – Belgian beer-fans are already freaking out because the 9th Annual Belgian Fest returns to Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion this Saturday January 27Th and it’s not to be missed! This year’s two-session beerganza will feature a mind-blowing array of Tripels, Dubbels, Saisons, Wits, Abbeys and Lambics – and of course, all of the beers presented will be a feast of Belgian yeast.
