A Beer Festival This Weekend That You Absolutely Need To Czech Out! (St. Louis, MO) – The Great St. Louis Czech Beer Festival will be taking place this Saturday, December 10th and you might want to Czech it out. It’s returning taking to the American Czech Educational Center in South St. Louis where Missouri and Illinois Breweries will be once again be coming together to celebrate the Czechs’ favorite drink… BEER. Exclusive Czech inspired bar-food will be available and Pilsner-fueled live music all day to ensure that you don’t pass out.
On The Big Screen – One of the year’s most acclaimed new films opens nationwide this weekend – and don’t hate us – it’s a musical. That’s right La La Land, is both an ode to the beloved musicals from the 40’s and 50’s that were a big deal before the rock N Roll and sixties culture pretty much buried them. Directed by Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) this musical homage stars Ryan Gosling as a jazz pianist and Emma Stone as an aspiring actress who fall in love in modern day Los Angeles.
Holiday Cheer Beer (Vancouver, WA) – Craft beer festivals have a tendency to come to a near halt at this time of year – but not up in the Pacific Northwest, where the 5th annual Vancouver Winter Brewfest is returning for two days of fun this weekend (Dec 9th-10th). This year’s winter beerganza will showcase at least 20 specially crafted winter ales from the region’s best breweries including Vancouver’s own Mount Tabor and Loowit Brewing Company. And you won’t have to worry about the weather either, because this two-day holiday throwdown is being held under heated tents.
