4 Super Unusual Ways To Use Leftover Beer Around The House

, 4 Super Unusual Ways To Use Leftover Beer Around The HouseBeer is endlessly surprising… In addition to being a delicious and enjoyable mood-enhancer,  there’s all kinds of unusual ways to use leftover beer around the house.

Renew Treasured Copper Pans and Bring Faded Jewelry Back to Life

Beer has been found to be one of the most effective ways to clean and renew those old copper pots that have lost their gleam over the years, and soaking your faded gold jewelry will quickly bring back its original shine!

Warning – drinking what’s left of that beer after cleaning your jewelry or pans is strongly advised against – even if you find the beer’s new color somewhat appealing

Revitalize Your Wooden Furniture

Yep beer can help you with that too. Simply running a beer-soaked cloth (be sure go with the grain) can bring your old wooden furniture back to life and restore its original polish and color.

This will also work on your old wooden floors, assuming you’ve got that much leftover beer. But a final rinse with water after reclaiming those floors is uber-important and will help you ward the dreaded “barroom floor effect.”

Drown Household Tarantulas, 4 Super Unusual Ways To Use Leftover Beer Around The House

Tarantulas lurking around the house are always a buzz kill that needs to be dealt with!

We suggest using a hefty Barleywine to drown those hairy arachnids after first drinking some of that beer yourself to get fortified for the unpleasant task at hand.

High ABV beers are essential if you hope to dispatch an angry tarantula quickly. Buckets filled lagers (and even sours) will only embolden struggling tarantulas and further piss them off!

Beer Soak Your Feet

Once you’ve successfully dealt with the tarantula infestation, it’s reasonable to be exhausted and need to rest one’s feet. Beer’s handy for that as well.

Pour at least three quarters of that 22oz bottle of beer (herbal Saisons are super relaxing), into a bucket and insert your feet.

It’s probably best to not use the same bucket that you drowned the tarantulas in and it’s important that you warm the beer to room temperature before soaking those fatigued tootsies.

Experts add that trimming your toenails after a good beer soaking is smart and beneficial. Thickened toenails become more malleable, and threat of toe fungus spreading becomes less of a danger.
