In yet another sign that many breweries are going to the dogs, Busch Beer has announced that it’s in the hunt for its next official Dog Brew taste tester. And the doggy compensation package that comes with this high demand position, which includes $20,000, pet insurance and free Busch Dog Brew, is nothing to bark at.
In a very amusing recruitment video, Busch’s own mascot, the Busch Guy, is seen interviewing a variety of pooches to fill the position.
“It will be your sole responsibility to shepherd the great taste of Busch, research new flavors, take on pet projects. Your bark will have to be as good as your bite,” he tells a would-be canine recruit.
On August 26, 2020, which just happens to be National Dog Day (no accident there), Busch first took to Twitter to announce that it was getting into the doggy brew biz. And its Dog Brew, which Busch bills as “a nutritious and tasty snack for your four-legged friend that helps to promote a healthy digestive system,” sold out in one day.
