WEEKEND PICKS: SAVOR 2019, LUPULIN CARNIVAL, JOHN WICK AND SERIOUS BEER

Summer is ON and you’re ready for the fun. Well good, because from SAVOR 2019 to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got you covered.  Plus we’ve another weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking.

SAVOR Returns To The Nation’s Capital (Washington, DC) – One of craft beer’s most prestigious events returns to the Capital City this weekend. And if you were lucky enough to secure tickets to this sold out event you’re in for a blast.  Presented annually by the Brewers Association, SAVOR marries independent brewers with culinary visionaries to create an unforgettable experience for beer lovers and foodies alike.

Now in its 12th year, and back for only one night this time around, SAVOR will serve more than 180 beers from over 90 small and independent craft breweries—one-third of which are participating for the first-time—representing craft breweries of all sizes from 34 states plus Washington DC.

 

On The Big Screen – This weekend’s big movie opening returns Keanu Reeves in John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum  as a the world’s deadliest assassin who’s still bent on avenging the death of his dog. The third installment of what is basically one long story, finds john Wick (Reeves) with a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. And, oh yeah, he’s still pissed about his dog.

All Hail The Hop! (St Louis, MO) – 4 Hands Brewing is throwing their biggest party of the year, the 7th annual Lupulin Carnival, this Saturday May 18, and this year it takes place under the Big Top in a one-of-a-kind carnival setting. A celebration of the glorious hop and the annual release of their War Hammer Imperial IPA, Join 4 Hand’s and their brewing friends for a beer-fueled carnival that has fast become a legend in the Midwest.

 

THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK

We’ll be celebrating this weekend beginning at SAVOR with this year’s commemorative beer is SAVOR SIN, an American Wild Ale with blood oranges and guava from The Lost Abbey in San Marcos, California, one of the most impressive brewers in the country.
