DC Brau’s Oktoberfest Bash (Washington, DC) – DC Brau is kicking off the season with a Brau-style Oktoberfest celebration at the brewery on Saturday, August 17th from 1-6pm complete with Oompa band, brats and of course beer, In addition to the release of this year’s Oktoberfest lager, DC Brau will be pouring Keller Pils and El Hefe Speaks in its outdoor beer garden all afternoon. Tickets include German-style offerings from Smoke & Ember and a souvenir beer stein.

Get Weird This Weekend (Milwaukee, WI) – MobCraft is turning six this weekend and celebrating by returning its Weird Fest Block Party outside their taproom on August 17th. Come for the uber-special Anniversary Stouts releases, but stay for the Lucha Libre Mexican Wrestling matches that will be going on throughout the day.

We’re into IPA’s bigtime here at ACB (but who isn’t) and Big Boss Brewing just sent a new one our way that we really enjoyed. Brewed using local Carolina Rye Heirloom Malt, Big Boss Miss NC is a 6.5% double dry-hopped Hazy IPA with massive melon, papaya, mango and grapefruit notes..
