Wee Like (San Diego, CA) – Ballast Point Brewing has a new addition to its year-round offerings that was originally called Hop Soda due to its resemblance to tonic water. Described by the brewery as “what happens when you brew a beer that looks like an American Light Lager but is aromatic and flavorful with the late addition of hops,” Ballast Point Wee Gus is a bright and spritzy, easy-drinking 4.2% ABV hoppy lager with just 95 calories and a refreshing undercurrent of lemon, herbal, and floral aromas.
Get Dusted (Seattle, WA) – Way back in 2014, Elysian Brewing transitioned a popular release from their Manic IPA Series and made it available all year round. And as with many heritage releases that have been available for many years it’s sometimes unfairly gets overlooked. Elysian Space Dust IPA is an 8.2% ABV blast of Chinook, Citra, and Amarillo hops that’s well worth revisiting.
A Concurrence Occurrence (Athens, GA) – Creature Comforts has a new addition to its Concurrence Series, a continued exploration into barrel-aged stouts paired with the finest quality adjunct ingredients. Crafted with cocoa nibs from Condor Chocolates, Mexican vanilla beans, pecans from Pearson Farm, benne seed, chili peppers, and cinnamon, Creature Comforts Concurrence Blend No. 7 is a massive 13.9% ABV Imperial Stout – a deft blend of apple brandy and bourbon barrel-aged stouts that will not disappoint
