American craft brewers are looking to fall with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.

In Orbit (Portland, OR) – Ecliptic Brewing is celebrating its ninth anniversary with a nod to New Zealand in the form of a limited release lager. Brewed with Pilsner, Munich and Cara malt and a smart mix of hops built around the Motueka hop which originating in New Zealand, Ecliptic Ninth Orbit: New Zealand-Style Pilsner is a 5.5% ABV celebration lager with big of pineapple, lime and passionfruit notes.

“Pilsner styles are getting more popular. Our first New Zealand-style Pilsner was a collaboration with Garage Project out of New Zealand several years ago,” said Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. “That recipe served as our inspiration for this ninth anniversary celebration beer. It turned out really nice.”

The Caramel Apple Of Our Eyes (Indianapolis, IN) – Sun King Brewing, one of Indiana’s largest craft breweries, was awarded more medals at the GABF than any other brewery in the competition. And the brewery is returning a King’s Reserve Series offering that’s perfect for the changing season.

Crafted with dried local apple and sweetened with brown sugar caramel, Sun King Caramel Apple Tripel is a massive 13.2% ABV Belgian-Style Tripel which was aged to perfection in specially curated rum barrels.

Darkness Done Right (Durango, CO) – With the return of Ska Brewing’s latest release the withdrawal symptoms that sometimes come with  the seasonal departure of its Mexican Logger are over. Smooth and malty, yet with a mild bitterness from Tettnang, Cascade, and Saaz hops, Ska Mexican-Style Lager Dark is 5.2% ABV cold-weather seasonal with subtle caramel flavors and a touch of roast to the finish.

“We knew we needed an easy-drinking beer that could hold its own in the fall and winter months when Mexican Logger goes into hibernation,” says Ska Brewing COO Steve Breezley. “We spent three winters perfecting Mexican-Style Lager Dark— a true labor of love, and of lagers.”
