2023 is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the new year with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Just For The Helles Of It (DC / California) – SoCal’s The Brewery has a new limited release that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Inspired by old-world brewing techniques in the likeness of the traditional name The Bruery’s Ruekeller: Helles is a 5.2% ABV Helles-Style Lager with light bitterness, a touch of sweetness, and a clean crisp finish.

“As our label states, Ruekeller: Helles is ‘Challenging in process, traditional in method’ said Micah Rush Research and Development Manager at The Bruery…

, Weekend Beer: New Hazy Wheat Ales And Helles Lagers“We brew it according to old-world, traditional German brewing techniques starting with premium German malts and hops, all the way to krausening and lagering. It’s bright and crisp but also bready and full-bodied. It’s the perfect shift beer after a long day or short day. It’s crushable and great for any occasion.”

Dry January And Beyond (Denver, C)) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way’s since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And now there’s a non-alcoholic brewer that was awarded the Gold Medal for the Non-Alcoholic Beer category at the 2022 World Beer Cup Awards for its lager. But Gruvi makes all kinds of uber-convincing non-alcoholic brews including this new Discovery Series release which is one of our favorite beer styles.

Brimming with bright lemon peel, cardamom, and coriander nots, Gruvi Weekday Wit is the brewery’s  buzz-free take on the Belgian-style Wheat Beer with a creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel.

Spruced Up (Boulder, CO) – Upslope Brewing has an interesting limited release that’s brewed with fresh pine needles which add bright woodland notes to an already hop-forward brew. Crafted with spruce tips, snowmelt, premium American malt, lemon and orange peel, Cascade and Simcoe hops, Upslope Spruce Tip IPA is a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale that pairs nicely with ski slopes and winter.
