Spring is On!  And we’ve some interesting new beer releases that should pair smartly with your weekend.

Channel Change (Portland, OR) – On April 16th Portland’s locally-owned Von Ebert Brewing, will be debuting something interesting as part of its Heritage Beer program. Bright, spritzy and approachable, Von Ebert Channel Capacity is a 4.1% ABV Farmhouse Lager crafted with Brettanomyces and dry-hopped with Loral.

“To make Channel Capacity, we took a portion of mature beer from one of our beautiful foudres and dry-hopped it with Loral, a newer American hop that has flowery, citrus notes,” explained Jason Hansen, Lead Brewer & Blender, Von Ebert Glendoveer. “The hops combined nicely with the earthy funk from the Brett and oak-derived coconut flavors, contributing to an almost tropical drink experience. High carbonation makes this beer a refreshing complement to the approaching days of longer and brighter sunshine.”

Channel Capacity is available at both Von Ebert pub locations, in bottles for on-site consumption or to-go.

Planned to be released in small batches to ensure maximum freshness and a consistent haze, Indeed Aquafuzz is a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a soft pillowy mouthfeel and tropical mango, guava and passionfruit notes.

“This is our first packaged hazy IPA, and we wanted to make sure we did it right. There’s not a lot of room for error in this style of beer; the freshness factor is crucial,” says Ryan Bandy, Indeed Sales Director. “We’re pre-selling cans into accounts and pulsing the release in batches so that we can be sure that consumers are getting the best possible hazy, both in regards to the recipe and state of the beer.”

Not Worried (San Diego, CA) – Belching Beaver Brewery has a new addition to its year-round portfolio and, surprise, it’s not a Hazy IPA. Classic yet thoroughly modern at the same time, Belching Beaver No Worries IPA is a 6.2% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with dank and tropical fruit aromatics and a sparkling, crisp mouthfeel.
