The new year is ON and craft brewers are keeping things fun with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.
Double Trouble (Longmont, CO) – 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Dale’s Pale Ale, the voluminously hopped American Pale Ale that holds the distinction of being the first craft beer ever packaged in a can. And to mark the occasion, Oskar Blues Brewery is releasing an Imperial version of its groundbreaking original.
Brewed with an all American menu of juicy El Dorado and complex Talus hops, Oskar Blues Double Dale’s Imperial IPA is a 9% ABV anniversary take on the original that captures the citrus and caramel character of Dale’s, while achieving its own unique flavor profile and identity.
West Coast (Orange County, CA) = The Bruery’s hop-forward spin-off, Offshoot Beer, is officially launching its first nationally-distributed beer of 2022, an IPA that was perfected on Offshoot’s 3 bbl pilot system, and trialed over the last year at the Bruery’s Tasting Room. Bursting with juicy, fruity flavor thanks to generous dry hopping with Mosaic, Strata, Citra, and Cashmere, Offshoot Beer’s Coast is ultra sessionable 5.2% ABV Hazy IPA that’s perfect for coasting through the week.
“We’ve spent the last few years really dialing in our flagship IPA: Relax and Coast was a fun opportunity to focus on something a little more crushable.” says Stefan Weber, Production Manager for The Bruery and Offshoot. As we ramp up production I’m excited to have this in my fridge for afternoons and weekends.”
All Hail The Queen (Dallas, TX) – In 2021 Lakewood Brewing introduced a citrus-fueled seasonal which was such a hit that it is now returning as the brewery’s newest year-round. Crafted with American wheat yeast which makes for a lighter body, Lakewood Tangerine Queen is a 5.7% ABV Wheat Ale with orange peel and mandarin purée added to keep things juicy.
