Urban South Brewery is empire-building again and has just acquired one of our favorite breweries in Pensacola Florida.
On September 27 Urban South Brewery announced that it will add Florida-based Perfect Plain Brewing to its expanding Southern family, working collaboratively to achieve the fullest potential for both breweries.
The acquisition will apply Urban South’s well-established manufacturing and distribution expertise to market Perfect Plain’s locally-inspired craft beer throughout the Florida Panhandle.
“Under the agreement, Urban South will assume operations of the Perfect Palin hospitality brand that owns and operates four concepts in Pensacola: Perfect Plain Brewing Co., Garden & Grain, Perennial and The Well.

With Perfect Plain in the steady hands of Urban South Brewery, which has deep roots in New Orleans as well as a satellite hub in Houston, Reeves can focus fully on his new role as Mayor of the City of Pensacola.
Driven by the mission to build a company and craft beers that represents the modern South, Urban South has been expanding its brand throughout the region with a distribution footprint that includes Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and now Florida.
Perfect Plain is a hospitality brand as well as a brewery, that collectively operates four concepts in in historic downtown Pensacola. Founded in 2007 and designed to bring people together in a spacious, welcoming environment, the Perfect Plain brewery is a fully immersive experience with a 10-barrel brewhouse, a communal taproom and an expansive dog-friendly patio.
The transaction will officially close on October 1, and all entities will retain their current brands, operations and staff.
