Hey, we like “unusual” a lot. So here goes…

Yuengling Beer Recipe Transported To Texas Armored Truck with Police Escort

On Tuesday, May 11, the 192-year-old secret family recipes from D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., arrived at Molson Coors’ Fort Worth, Texas brewing facilities.

The three-day journey via armored truck began at the iconic Pottsville, Pennsylvania brewery on Friday, May 7 and its arrival in Texas officially marks the start of Yuengling’s westward expansion.

In September, 2020 Molson Coors and Yuengling announced that it had entered into a joint venture to expand distribution of Yuengling’s portfolio in the US. And now that deal which enters a new phase with the theatrical transport of the Yuengling family recipe that will allow Molson Coors to brew and package Yuengling beers and distribute them into new markets, mainly in the western side of the US.

Yuengling, which was founded in 1829, and is thought to be the oldest brewery in operation in America, is based in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. It has two breweries in its home state as well as one in Tampa, Florida.

The Pennsylvania-headquartered brewing company will retain the rights and trademarks to its beer range, which includes flagship products such as the Yuengling Traditional Lager and Black & Tan.

High Times at Pabst Blue Ribbon

Last fall, Pabst Labs blind-sided the beverage biz when it debuted Pabst Blue Ribbon High Seltzer, a 5mg THC infused seltzer that unlike cannabis CBD drinks (which offer medicinal properties without the high) actually delivers a buzz, just not an alcohol buzz.

And now they are back with an even stronger version, Pabst Blue Ribbon High Seltzer 10mg THC. Both dosing options still only contain 25 calories, 4g sugar and contain no preservatives. At their core, Pabst Blue Ribbon High Seltzers remain approachable, delicious, and hangover free beverage alternatives that offer consumers a different type of buzz.

“The PBR brand has been quickly welcomed into the cannabis space as a beverage that can be enjoyed by both new and experienced users,” said Mark Faicol, Pabst Labs Brand Manager.

Since the debut of PBR High Seltzer, more experienced consumers have been outspoken about their desire for a higher THC dose offering. We’ve been listening and are proud to offer an elevated experience through our new 10mg THC PBR High Seltzer, and are ecstatic to offer it to them at the same price point alongside the original 5+5 Lemon High Seltzer.”
