Trilllium’s Fenway Taproom to open very soon

Boston’s uber-hot Trillium Brewing is continuing to make expansive moves in that city having announced that they’ve put the final touches on their much anticipated, year-round, indoor/outdoor taproom in the iconic Fenway neighborhood that’s home to the historic baseball stadium.

Although its opening is imminent, the exact date when Trillium Fenway will open its doors to the public remains fluid as the company awaits some final sign-offs from the city…

But we’ve some pictures of the new space that are a “home run.”

Trillium’s first ground up construction project ever, Trillium Fenway is a striking 1,500 square foot greenhouse-inspired space with 18 draught lines, which was designed by Studio Troika to “blur the lines between outdoor beer garden and cozy indoor taproom.

It’s a brilliant space that lends itself to both summer’s flowers and winter landscapes.

Steel-framed, ground-to-ceiling windows, frame the soon to open taproom features its own experimental brew house that, in addition to the brewery’s  Canton- and Fort Point-brewed beers, will offer Fenway-only special releases.

Trillium’s new Fenway location also marks a return of sorts for its founders JC and Esther Tetreault. The couple first met their 15 years ago, and the neighborhood has always been special for them…

“It’s really symbolic for us,” Esther told Boston Magazine  to start “imagining what our lives would be [right there], and now we get build the next stage of Trillium here.”

With its prime stand-alone location newly in front of the Art Deco-era, one-time Sears building, Trillium Fenway’s greenhouse taproom can accommodate as many as 150 people inside, and in season, an additional 150 on the patio.

And once it opens its doors Fenway fans can get their beer Sunday-Wednesday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and Thursday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-midnight.

To celebrate Trillium Fenway’s impending opening  the brewery is also launching The Fens IPA, part of its the Emerald Necklace Series which commemorates Boston’s a 1,100 acre, seven-mile-long public park system that weaves through The Back Bay Fens, where founder JC Tetreault cultivated hops in the Fenway Victory Gardens.

And the brewery will be donating $1 from every pint and $2 from every 4 pack sold of The Fens IPA to the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, which advocates for, maintains, restores, and programs the Boston parks.
