With pandemic restrictions loosening, the powerhouse Boston brewery is finally opening its annual summer beer garden to a new season…

And it’s a true beer destination…

It’s been four years since Boston’s Greenway Conservancy tapped Trillium Brewing, one of the Northeast’s most progressive craft breweries, to operate its open-air beer garden in Boston’s Rose Kennedy Greenway Park and what started as a conceptual “maybe” has become a summertime beer institution.

Unfortunately, hanks to COVID-19, Trillium’s Greenway beer garden was unable to open this summer, but over the weekend it cautiously reopened to greet the fall…

Adjoining Boston’s waterfront, with a view of its harbor glimpsed through the historic Rowes Wharf Arch, Trillium Brewing’s open-air setting is a striking centerpiece to the 1.5-mile greenway and offers a welcome respite from the urban grind at the heart of the city’s busy commercial center.

And in addition to its first-ever fall opening, Trillium will also be brewing special onsite small batch offerings at Greenway this year, which is very cool.

“Since we first opened the Trillium Garden, my summer in Boston isn’t complete without beers under the sun in our special home on the Greenway,” Esther Tetreault, co-founder of Trillium Brewing, shared in a press release.

“While opening later than we would have liked, watching the seasons change in the heart of our city will be a great way to extend the summer outdoors and transition into a classic New England autumn.”

Trillium Garden on The Greenway, Boston’s first fully open-air beer garden, is now open Thursdays through Saturdays from noon to 8pm and Sundays from noon to 6pm. And with COVID-19 continuing to lurk around reservations are encouraged, contactless ordering is enforced, as are social distancing protocols.
