So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

Friday the Firkinteenth (Philadelphia, PA) – The Grey Lodge is beloved by craft beer lovers in the mid-Atlantic, and Friday the Firkinteenth is the popular craft beer emporium’s most famous event. Every Friday the 13th since February 1998, they have tapped unique cask ales provided by some of the region’s best breweries and they’re doing it again tonight. This event has grown so popular that they’re introducing a day and an evening session this year to better accommodate rabid fans. Tapping for the day session starts at noon – and tapping for the evening session begins at 6 pm. As always, there is no cover charge and you can come and go as you like. For more info on this beyond-splendid outing, check out: Friday the Firkinteenth.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 13, 2015On The Big Screen – As we move towards the holidays, Hollywood traditionally begins releasing their big bets, films like The Martian or Spectre, movies they know will deliver an audience. So nothing explains one of this week’s most troubling releases. The 33 is a dramatic retelling of the 2010 Chilean mining disaster that left 33 miners trapped underground for 69 days.  It was a riveting news story when it was happening, but was anyone really asking for THE MOVIE? And we have to ask, what brilliant studio decided that this film needs to debut now, with Thanksgiving just around the corner?

Celebrate Harvest In Upstate New York (Rochester, NY) – With a chill in the air and the leaves changing we can’t think of a better time to visit the Harvest Brew Fest out in Western New York. This year’s one day (Nov 14th) late afternoon event will feature 35 of the region’s most exciting breweries. This festival has been described as “an escalation of the traditional beer-loving experience, designed for those who crave scrumptious, craft beer awesomeness” and that sounds like all of us! For a complete rundown of all the great breweries who will be attending this weekend check out: Harvest Brew Fest

TV Time – Director Steven Soderbergh’s (Traffic, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s 11) first foray into the long-from television, The Knick has returned to Cinemax for a second season and it shouldn’t be missed. Clive Owen stars as Dr. John W. Thackery, a brilliant surgeon (and cocaine addict) struggling to advance medicine at New York , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 13, 2015City’s Knickerbocker Hospital (“the Knick”) in the early part of the twentieth century. Both gritty and great, The Knick, makes for addictive viewing.
