, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS – March 15, 2013Hey, it’s Friday, and if you’re like us, you are ready for a break. You’ve been killing it at work this week and you’re in desperate need of fun. That’s where we come in! We’re all about it and we’ve got you covered. Plus we’ve got a special weekend beer pick for you too…So welcome to this week’s edition of our awesome Weekend Picks!

Things are getting epic in southern California this weekend when the inaugural Epic Beer Festival – San Diego kicks off. It’s all happening tonight and tomorrow at the San Diego Convention Center. This two-day, three-session event will feature more than 230 beers from 80 craft breweries and sounds like a way fun outing. It’s also for a good cause. The Epic Beer Festival benefits “Fresh Start Surgical Gifts,” a California-based nonprofit that transforms the lives of disadvantaged children and young people with physical deformities. For more info on this weekend’s event, check out: Epic Beer Festival.

This weekend marks the beginning of the 4th annual Charlotte Craft Beer Week (March 15th-24th), a ten-day grassroots celebration of craft beer that’s taking place all over the Queen City. Events include rare and exotic beer tastings, showcases with local and regional breweries, food and beer pairing events, brewery tours, and (most important of all) tremendous volumes of craft beer. For more info on what promises to be too much fun, check out: Charlotte Craft Beer Week.

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS – March 15, 2013It’s comedy central this weekend at the movies, and if you’ve been waiting to see two of America’s more inventive comedians working off each other – the wait is over. The Incredible Burt Wonderstone stars Steve Carell and Jim Carrey as dueling professional magicians. This movie was written by the same duo responsible for last year’s dark comedy, Horrible Bosses, and if their new comedy is even half as funny as “Bosses” was, we’re going to look like total geniuses!

San Bernardino, California will be hosting this weekend’s most fantastic music festival tomorrow when Beyond Wonderland takes center stage. Described as an “experience-based event” where electronic dance music meets interactive art and roaming theatrical performers, Beyond Wonderland promises awesome music and fully immersive state-of-the-art production design. The country’s leading artists will have their whimsical structures on display throughout the festival grounds that will serve as mind-blowing backdrops to music from artists like Afrojack and David Guetta. For more info on Saturday’s festival, check out: Beyond Wonderland.
