We blame the industry for this… It used to be that when we wrapped up our Weekend Picks on Friday, we could coast through the weekend. There was little need to check in for updates – things were pretty much done. But clearly all that’s changed.
So here’s some of what’s happened in the world of craft beer while you were off enjoying yourself

Texas Brewery Ends Trademark Dispute With New Belgium (Austin, TX) – Oasis Texas has reportedly settled its trademark fight with New Belgium, winning sole rights to market its Slow Ride Pale Ale in Texas. But according to the settlement, the Austin-based brewery must use a different name when selling its product elsewhere, so as not to conflict with New Belgium’s same-named session IPA.

A Beer From Recycled Bathwater (Half Moon Bay, CA) – In an effort to respond to California’s drought, Half Moon Bay will be begin brewing an IPA from recycled sink & shower run-off. Sounds delicious!
One Signature Away From Sanity (Birmingham, AL) A bill that would boost to Birmingham’s craft beer breweries is reportedly one governor’s signature away from becoming state law. The bill, just passed by Alabama’s House and Senate, would allow breweries and brew pubs to sell beer-to-go directly to visitors.
