Mothership Sighting (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has a new addition to its always interesting Mothership Series that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
A centuries-old melding of honey and malt (think mead but with fruit), Founders Mothership Series: Blueberry Braggot is a 9% ABV limited release which is crafted using a healthy dose of 100% Michigan blueberries.
Mothership Series beers are ultra-limited, brew team favorites only found in bottles at Founders’ Grand Rapids and Detroit taproom locations. Previous Mothership Series releases have included: Hazy IPA, Blushing Padre, Detroit Double IPA, Devil Dancer, French Toast Bastard, Oktoberfest, Pale Joe and Mucho Lupu.
Halidaily Brewing Gets Even More Adventurous (Golden, CO) – Founded by Karen Hertz, who survived both melanoma and thyroid cancers, Halidaily Brewing is committed to crafting 100% gluten-free beer that tastes like beer. And the Colorado brewery has a new addition to its Adventure Series that takes “a road less travelled” when it comes to gluten-free beer.
Debuting on March 27, Halidaily Citrus Gose is a citrusy, salty, and tart 3.9% ABV limited release brewed with fresh and pureed citrus fruits from around the world.
“Commercial brewing has been part of the United States’ fabric for almost 400 years,” said Karen Hertz. “Gluten-free brewing has developed in just the past 10 years. With that novelty comes the need for constant experimentation. The Adventure Series allows our brewers to do just that.”
A Passionfruit For Brewing (St Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer, the original craft brewery in the city best known for Budweiser, has tasty offering that takes a Belgian traditional in a decidedly tropical direction. An intriguing combination of a slight tart flavors and juicy tropical fruit Schlafly Tropical Saison is a 6% ABV Belgian-Style Ale with passionfruit added during fermentation.
