Just Peachy (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Brewing has a new small-batch release that’s exclusive to its 15 Barrel Brewhouse and available in 16oz cans for curbside pickup from February 26th-28th. Heavy Seas Bottomless Bellini is a 7.25% ABV sparkling ale inspired by the peach-fueled Bellini cocktail.
“We had a lot of fun with the Mimosa version of Bottomless last year,” said Heavy Seas Brewmaster Christopher Leonard, and it was a no-brainer to reprise it, but with a slightly different inspiration. So, Bellini was the inspiration, which demanded 164 pounds of peach puree in the fermentation. The beer is relatively dry, with a tart, fruity balance that is just right for a great brunch session”.
Bottomless label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Chris Shiner, of Chris Shiner Art. All the taproom exclusive beer labels will be designed by Shiner in 2021.
Pistachio-Powered (Minneapolis, MN) – Indeed Brewing has a new year-round offering that began as an R&D project at Indeed’s pilot brewery in Milwaukee where instantaneous success and cult following necessitated multiple drops throughout 2020, and is now seeing bigtime distribution. Now in newly designed 12-ounce cans that feature artwork from Minneapolis artist Chuck U, Pistachio Cream Ale is a 5.5% ABV Cream Ale with a subtly nutty ambience and spritzy mouthfeel.
“Within a year, it’s moving into our year-round lineup and has top three priority with most of our distributors,” says Sales Director Ryan Bandy. “It’s super fun—and kind of stressful—to have a hit like this where you work hard and fast to get the people what they want. We’re excited to let it loose!”
The Art Of Brewing (San Diego, CA) – To celebrate its 25th Anniversary (and to refresh its presence on retail shelves), Ballast Point’s resident artist, Paul Elder has given its bestselling lager an updated look. The Ballast Point brewing crew’s go-to after-work beer, Longfin Lager is a 4.5% ABV Helles-Style Lager that’s as true to California as it is to its German roots.
