While some of the US still remains locked down thanks to COVID-19, much of the nation is beginning to open up.
And we’ve some fun new beer releases that pair smartly with summer, whatever your situation.
Margarita Time (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has a new addition to its Barrel Aged Series that’s a celebration of all things tequila and limes. Inspired by tart, tangy and salty margarita, Founders Más Agave is a 10% ABV Imperial Gose Ale brewed with Agave Sea Salt and Lime before being aged to perfection tequila barrels. The label art was largely inspired by Day of the Dead imagery, specifically the elaborate altars built to honor deceased loved ones.
Apricot 2019 (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing is returning one of its longest running blends which has become over the years, a quintessential part of brewery’s identity as a leading producer of artisan Northwest sour ales. Cascade Apricot 2019 is a 7% ABV blend of sour blonde ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 14 months, then naturally fermented with Northwest-grown apricots and aged on the fruit for an additional six months before packaging. Yes!
Sun Set (Cape May, NJ) – Cape May is said to be home to the most beautiful sunsets in New Jersey. And Cape May Brewing has crafted the perfect beer to enjoy them with. Not too sweet, or too tart, Cape May Strawberry Sunset is a 4.4% ABV Strawberry Lemonade Shandy that pairs perfectly with watching the sun set… And if you want to know more about the whole Shandy thing, you might want to go HERE.
Monstrous (Atlanta, GA / Virginia Beach, VA) New Realm Brewing has a new addition to its Monsters & Myths Double IPA Series that’s downright scary. Inspired by the mythical Sasquatch, a hairy ape man that some insist actually exists in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest. New Realm Jacked ‘Squatch is a 9.5% ABV West Coast Style Double IPA with a beastly medley of Citra, Centennial, Simcoe and Vic Secret hops and a mythic ambience.
