Prost Brewing Adds 5th Colorado Location
At a time when most craft breweries are playing things more cautiously, Prost Brewing Company is keeping its foot firmly on the gas in Colorado, with the grand opening of its fifth biergarten on August 3, 2026. Located in the new Clear Creek Crossing development in Wheat Ridge, the new 6,800-square-foot space gives Front Range lager lovers another massive reason to raise a glass of traditional German beer, which is what Prost Brewing does.
Prost’s newest location blends traditional German brewing culture with plenty of local Rocky Mountain charm. Set right off Interstate 70 and steps from the Clear Creek bike path, the Wheat Ridge spot offers scenic views of Colorado’s Front Range and the ironically named, Coors Pond.
Inside, visitors can enjoy a sleek open-room layout, complete with an enclosed patio, private event spaces, and a full-service kitchen churning out authentic Bavarian eats like warm pretzels, schnitzel, and sausages sourced from local favorite Charcutnuvo.
Behind the bar, 40 draft lines will feature Prost’s award-winning pilsners, dunkels, and seasonal lagers, as well as local guest ciders, wines, and craft cocktails. The taproom will also house a custom one-barrel R&D brewhouse, allowing drinking guests to catch small-batch, experimental brewing in real time.
Prost’s newest addition builds on a serious run for the lager-centric brewery. Following their existing outposts in Denver, Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch, and their massive production headquarters in Northglenn, Wheat Ridge marks another major milestone in brewery’s mission to bring authentic, drinkable German beer tradition to every corner of the state.

Fruit Beers On The Rise In UK
In many ways, fruit beer is actually one of brewing’s oldest traditions. Belgian lambic producers have been aging beer on cherries to create Kriek and raspberries to make Framboise for centuries. And traditional European farmhouse brewers have long relied on whatever fruit was growing nearby, both for flavor and their fermentable sugars.
We recently argued that fruit beers in America are inherently polarizing, but according to The Drinks Business, the trend for Belgian fruit beers was being embraced across Britain.
Speaking to the drinks business, Scottish brewery Vault City co-founder Steven Smith-Hay said: “Flavor is the driver behind the fruit beer trend at the moment. A recent YouGov survey found that 43% of alcohol drinkers say an appealing taste is what makes them try or buy fruit beer, with strawberry and raspberry the top choices.”
According to the popular trade publication, UK supermarket data has shown dramatic spikes in fruit beer interest and beverage analysts are predicting the sector to become a $432.2 million business by 2030.
