The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s just some of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were enjoying the weekend.

New Shower Beer Soap

Pabst Blue Ribbon has found a new place for its beer: your shower.

PBR has teamed up with men’s grooming brand Dr. Squatch on Blue Ribbon Breeze, a limited-edition bar soap released in August that takes the whole “shower beer” concept surprisingly literally.

Unlike collaborations that simply slap a beer logo on an unrelated product, Blue Ribbon Breeze is actually made with real Pabst Blue Ribbon lager, which is added directly to Dr. Squatch’s cold-process soap formula.

But don’t worry, you’re not going to walk around smelling like last call.

Inspired by what the companies describe as a “Milwaukee lakeside weekend,” the soap blends piney greens and bergamot with peppermint, fresh ozone and crisp linen notes. It also features a light grit for exfoliation and is made with ingredients including coconut oil, shea butter, sand and kaolin clay.

The limited-edition Blue Ribbon Breeze is available through Dr. Squatch while supplies last.

Because apparently drinking a PBR in the shower just wasn’t immersive enough.

Denver’s Bruz Beers To Head West

Denver’s Bruz Beers will close its popular Bruz Off Fax taproom on September 24 as it prepares for a much bigger future in Golden, Colorado.

After spending five years searching for the right location, co-owner Ryan Evans and his team have landed on a one-acre property at 17575 South Golden Road, currently home to a former animal hospital that will eventually become Bruz Beers’ new flagship brewery and taproom.

And the brewery isn’t thinking small.

Plans call for a two-story building with west-facing windows overlooking the foothills, along with a sprawling 5,000-square-foot outdoor patio designed to take full advantage of Colorado’s outdoor drinking culture.

Construction is expected to begin within the next six months, with a tentative opening targeted for mid-2028.

So while Bruz Off Fax is disappearing from Denver, Bruz Beers itself is getting ready for a considerably bigger second act.
