Pabst Blue Ribbon is celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the of the Declaration of Independence with an enormous 250-ounce Freedom Beer Pack and its own declaration.

Here’s the deal…

To celebrate Independence Day Pabst Blue Ribbon, a favorite slacker beer, is going big once again. We’re not talking 12-pack big, or even 30 pack big. What we’re dealing with here is a ginormous first, a beer package containing 250 ounces of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.

Yep, say hello to the “Pabst Blue Ribbon Freedom Pack,” 10 25oz mega-cans of PBR.

You’re welcome, America…

And PBR has also released its own “Declaration Of Pabst” which it explains as “undeniable reasons why Pabst is the most American beer.”

This from The company’s official statement…

“We all know America is turning 250, and Pabst Blue Ribbon is celebrating the only way it knows how: by serving up 250oz of beer and making an extremely official, deeply unserious, and completely self-appointed declaration that it is The Most American Beer. Not because, for 180 years, it’s been made for some Americans. But because it’s always been made for every American.”

Some of the constitutional highlights of Pabst’s declaration include:

  • Pabst doesn’t have to release an American flag can to celebrate America’s 250th. It has always been red, white and blue.
  • According to folklore, Pabst bestowed this great nation with its first six-pack in the 1940s.
  • Cracking a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon resembles the sound of a V8 engine.
  • Of all the Blue Ribbons in America, Pabst’s is the one you think of first.

This is far from Pabst’s first foray into patriotic mega-releases.

In 2021 PBR stunned the industry with an historic 1776 pack,  a beer package containing 1,776 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.

And in 2022, Pabst upped by 68 beers with the 1886 Pack celebrating the year the brewery was founded.
