, Newbies – New Releases to Look Out For – August 22, 2013Shipyard Gets Newly Minted (Portland, ME) – Shipyard Brewing Company is adding a new beer to Pugsley’s Signature Series but you’re going to have to wait just a bit to try it! Shipyard Mint Chocolate Stout is a 9% ABV special release Imperial Stout that tastes just like it’s named. Look for this dark and silky Imperial to become available in 22 oz. gold foil-topped bombers and on draft in November.

From Mint to White Chocolate (Placentia, CA) – The Bruery has just rereleased something special but you’ll have to go to their Tasting Room to get it. White Chocolate is essentially a summer barleywine ale brewed with a wheat-heavy grain base aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans for nearly a year, giving the beer hints of white chocolate. This is a big beer – 14% ABV – and it’s now available to the public in bottles and on draft while supplies last.

From White Chocolate to Cherry Chocolate (Tampa, FL) – Cigar City Brewing has just rolled out something special and it’s already sold-out at their tasting room. Introducing Life is like…Bourbon Barrel-aged Cherry Chocolate Imperial Sweet Stout – an Imperial sweet stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs and aged in bourbon barrels – and its rolling out now.

, Newbies – New Releases to Look Out For – August 22, 2013Ninkasi Does Dortmund (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi Brewing has released the second in their creative Prismatic Lager Series that highlights Northwest takes on traditional lager styles. Built on a sturdy malt backbone that’s so much a part of the Dortmund style, the highly drinkable Ninkasi Oktoberfest is now available on draft and in bottles.

Angel City Does the Avocado (Los Angeles, CA) – The Angel City Brewery will be celebrating brewer Dieter Foerstner 100th batch of beer with an amazing guacamole-inspired brew. Avocado Ale is Dieter’s latest creation and it’s going to be released this Saturday as part of Angel City’s Avocado Festival.

, Newbies – New Releases to Look Out For – August 22, 2013Viking Metal Comes to Glass at the Brewery (Austin, TX) – Thanks to recent legislative changes in Texas, you can not only sample beers at a brewery, you can also purchase them in bottles and take them home. To celebrate these changes, Jester King Craft Brewery is now offering its visitors the opportunity to purchase bottles of Viking Metal, their Swedish-inspired farmhouse ale aged in Old Tom gin barrels, to take home.

Motor Boating (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing Company returns to the Catch and Release lineup with a two-time Great American Beer Festival medal winner. SweetWater Motor Boat is an unfiltered version of an Extra Special Bitter (ESB), with a cruising speed of 5.8% ABV. Fans can now find the decorated brew on draft and in six-packs, as well as featured in SweetWater’s Tackle Box Variety 12-packs throughout the Southeast.

1635 Comes to Massachusetts (Newburyport, MA) – The Newburyport Brewing Company, Massachusetts’ only all-can and keg craft brewery, has announced the 1635 Series highlighting limited-edition small batch craft beers inspired by the creativity of their brewmaster as well as favorite recipes from their brewery team. Joppa Stout is the first release and it’s a medium body and sessionable 4.5% ABV Irish dry stout brewed with premium quality roasted malts. This debut release is now available at the Newburyport Brewing Company tasting room as well as at select bars and restaurants.
