A Cult Classic Returns (Hershey, PA) – Just in time to fight the winter doldrums and post-holiday blues, Tröegs is returning a beer that like Troegenator and Mad Elf, helped put the Pennsylvania brewery on the map. And when it debuted back in 2004, there was absolutely nothing else like it.
Abundantly hopped with “fresh-off-the-bine” Nugget hops from the brewery’s annual hop curation trek to Yakima, WA, Tröegs Nugget Nectar is a 7.5% ABV Imperial Amber Ale with hints of ripe mango and dreamsicle balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.
Maui Brewing’s First Release of 2021 – (Kihei, Hawaii) – Maui Brewing is kicking off 2021 with a tropically-toned limited release that sports a smoothie-like character. Crafted with fresh pineapple juice from Maui’s upcountry, toasted coconut, and lactose milk sugar, Maui Pineapple Chi Chi is a 4.8% ABV nitro-infused Golden Ale with an island ambience and smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
Stone Returns its Most Requested Beer Ever (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing is returning a classic which has been on the back burner for 14 years and remains the brewery’s most requested beers of all time.
Retired in 2015 and now making a much-anticipated return, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA is an 8.7% ABV pitch-black India Pale Ale with a surprising punch of bitterness offset by a smooth malty character and warm notes of coffee and chocolate.
‘Tis The Saison (Hood River, OR) – pFriem Family Brewers have a new addition to their seasonal roster that’s both unusual and a perfect winter addition. Brewed with pineapple, papaya, kiwi and honey nectar and fermented using Belgian yeast, pFriem Super Saison is a massive 9.5% ABV Farmhouse Ale and one of the brewery’s most interesting directions.
