Nothing says “summer’s over” like Labor Day’s passing. And craft brewers are addressing the changing season with new offerings you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.

Get Marmalade! (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has returned a popular limited release with a robust aromatics reminiscent of marmalade. Crafted with Aloha and Sabro hops, AleSmith Tropical Marmalade Hazy IPA is a 7.1% ABV India Pale Ale which will become widely available in October through the end of 2021.

“We’re excited for Tropical Marmalade to make a return to our seasonal lineup,” says Ryan Crisp, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations at AleSmith. “It was a staff favorite from 2019, so we had to bring it back. With the tropical hop blend and flavors, plus a smooth finish, this is a perfect beer.”

, New Oktoberfest Beers And Fall SeasonalsA Very Best “Fest” (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing takes its Oktoberfest beer, which is different every season, seriously. And this year’s release is a departure from the brewery’s recent Oktoberfest offerings which have been more in the style of modern fest biers, such as Helles bock.  Darker and significantly more malt-forward Sierra Nevada’s 2021 Oktoberfest is a 5.5% ABV Amber Märzen with a sweet maltiness offset by a delicate hop bitterness.

“The beer has a malty sweetness with a little bit of herbal, floral hop presence, and the bitterness levels are just right to balance the malt character for drinkability,” says Scott Jennings, Innovation Brewmaster at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. He adds, “it’s a substantial beer but it’s really, really drinkable.”

In The House! (Portland, ME) – The award-winning Allagash Brewing is gearing up for fall with the return of something “grave.” Inspired by a love of pitch-black porters and the brewery’s House Beer, Allagash Haunted House is a 6.66% Cascadian Dark Ale with a coffee-flavored bitterness and hauntingly complex malty palate.
