, New Beers: Holiday Ales, Huge Imperial Stouts And Winter IPA’s

This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings are winter holiday and cold weather-ready!

Tis the Season (Longmont, CO) – With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the holiday season is pretty much on. And the Oskar Blues Brewery is returning something HUGE to greet it. Oskar Blues Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY Imperial Stout is a massive 12.5% ABV seasonal with a layered complexity and a warming malt-forward finish that pairs perfectly with cold winter nights.

A Lambic Inspired Ale (Hood River, OR) – Fall to winter is our favorite transition season and pFriem has released a fruit-forward limited release that’s ideal at this time of year. Deep, bright and intoxicatingly intricate, pFriem La Mûre is a 6.49% ABV blend of one and two-year old white wine barrel ales that was rested with Oregon Black Cap Raspberries and local Marionberries for over six months.

, New Beers: Holiday Ales, Huge Imperial Stouts And Winter IPA’sJust Chill (Comstock Park, MI) – Perrin Brewing has a new Side Hustle Series release that’s ready for winter, whether you are or not. A cool twist on the New England-Style IPA directive, Perrin Arctic Chill is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale brewed with winter wheat, which creates a light, fluffy, snow-like body, and a medley of Michigan Copper™ and Hallertau Blanc hops that deliver a fruity spectrum of floral and citrusy flavors.

Holly Daze (Boston, MA) – Every fall Samuel Adams releases its annual Winter Variety Pack, a collection of cold weather classics and seasonal staples. And this year’s 12-Pack includes a decadent bock that we always look forward to. Aged on a bed of cocoa nibs from Madagascar, Ghana and Ecuador, Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock is a 5.8% ABV winter seasonal with a smooth complex flavor and a velvety finish.

Father Timed (Denver, CO) – River North Brewing is releasing something special this weekend that’s attuned to the season. Big and unapologetically malt-forward, River North Father Time is a 16.9% ABV Old English Ale with a sweet biscuit ambience and a rich caramel mouthfeel.
