Yikes, August already and American craft brewers are addressing things with a smart roster of new releases you’re gonna want to have around.
Drama Queen (Bend, OR) – Last April 10 Barrel Brewing debuted a new addition to its to its already stacked HopBurst Series of IPAs that, and it remains one of our favorite new releases of 2024.
Bursting with huge citrus and pine hop flavors, 10 Barrel Juicy Drama is a massive 9.6% ABV Imperial IPA with Yuzu zest added at the fermentation stage to deliver a surprisingly easy-drinking and low-maintenance beer.
10 Barrel’s latest HopBurst release is available now anywhere 10 Barrel beers are sold, as well as in the new HopBurst Variety Pack featuring all four series IPAs—Juicy Drama, Apocalypse, All Ways Down, and Cloud Mentality.
Award-Winning (Houston, TX) – In June Texas’ oldest craft brewery Saint Arnold Brewing released one of our favorite summer seasonals. And it’s out there now, but as we enter August, it won’t be forever, so you know what to do.
Brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of “noble” hops imported from the Czech Republic, and ironically not even a Pilsner in the truest sense, Saint Arnold Summer Pils is a crisp and refreshing 4.9% ABV Munich-style Helles with a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. It’s also the most award-winning beer they brew at Saint Arnold.
German-Inspired & Colorado Crafted (Denver, CO) – Prost Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery renowned for honoring German brewing traditions, from sourcing high quality ingredients to brewing authentic, classic styles. Even their name has German influences with “prost” being German for “Cheers!” And their approach to one historical style in particular, is genius.
Crafted to combine the wisdom of traditional brewing practices with modern ingredients and brewing principles, Prost Pilsner is a 4.9% ABV year-round release with an approachable opulence that showcases a stunning balance of the finest German malts and noble hops.
