September’s just flying by…And brewers are addressing the fast-moving season with a variety of intoxicating new beer offerings that should pair brilliantly with the cooling weather.
Groovy Baby (Nampa, ID/Vista, CA) – Mother Earth Brewing, which crafts beer out of two separate hubs, one in California, the other in Idaho, has a new Project X Series limited release with a strikingly designed label by Heidi Geist that’s its own piece of art. Brewed with a seasoned medley of Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo and Nelson hops, Mother Earth Groove Rider is a bright and aromatic Hazy IPA that does not disappoint.
Cran-Buried (Lone Tree, CO) – Fall will be here sooner rather than later and Lone Tree Brewing is celebrating the changing season with something fruit-forward and seasonal. Effervescent and slightly tart, Lone Tree Cranberry Saison is a deceivingly drinkable 8.5% ABV Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale that was aged with fresh cranberry puree.
Night Creep (Vista, CA) – Iron Fist Brewing has a new Small Batch Experiment release that’s aggressive yet highly drinkable. Iron Fist Night Creep Black DIPA is an 8.5% ABV Double IPA that pours pitch black with a thick white head, and apologizes for nothing.
Going Coastal (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales & Spirits is celebrating the hop season with something fresh from Rogue Farms. Crafted with hops that were harvested inland and quickly transported, 71 miles to be brewed while still wet at Rogue’s production brewery on the Oregon Coast, Rogue Coast Haste is an 8.6% ABV Imperial Hazy IPA that’s available now in 16oz 4-packs as well as on draft.
Festive (St Louis, MO) – Oktoberfest season is fast approaching and with that in mind, Schlafly Beer is returning something festive. Described by the brewery as “the perfect fall companion,” Schlafly Oktoberfest is a smooth and clean 5.5% ABV Märzen Lager that’s slightly sweet and totally sessionable.
