Summer is waning and American craft brewers are addressing things with a smart roster of beer you’re gonna want to have around as we look to fall.
Big & Hazy (Seattle, WA) – In 1981, Redhook Brewery was born in a converted transmission shop in Ballard, Washington, kickstarting the Seattle craft brewing movement. And Redhook is still kicking it with one of the most dependable IPAs in the nation.
Crafted with a smart mix Sabro, El Dorado, Bru-1, Cascade hops, Big Ballard Hazy Imperial IPA is a BIG 8.7% ABV India Pale Ale with bright citrus and tropical notes and a soft, approachable body. Crafted in the PNW for the PNW, this 80s-inspired hazy is big, bold, juicy and unapologetic.
Delicious Delivers! (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has a new addition to its impressive Delicious Series, which like all the beers in the line is also gluten reduced. A gluten-reduced Hazy IPA is hard to come by. Not only does this one exist, but it also packs an unparalleled flavor rendering that gluten conversation nearly irrelevant.
Crafted with Sabro, El Dorado and Azacca hops, Stone Delicious Hazy IPA is a 7.2% ABV year-round with subtle peach and pineapple notes and a lingering finish.
“The Brewing Team takes the challenge of calling a beer ‘Delicious,’ very seriously and all four of the beers need to live up to that name,” explained Jeremy Moynier, Senior Manager of Brewing &Innovation. “Stone Delicious Hazy IPA definitely lives up to the Delicious standard and is a great addition to the Delicious family of beers.”
Just Peachy (Bend, OR) – 10 Barrel Brewing is deservedly renowned for its big, bold IPAs, but they also offer an impressive family of sour ales, and there’s one variation that’s just peachy.
Currently available exclusively in the brewery’s special Crush Variety Pack, 10 Barrel Crush Peach Sour is a light and crisp 5.3% ABV Sour Wheat Ale that’s crafted with fresh peaches and pairs brilliantly with the last days of summer.
