Summer is ON and the beer biz is addressing things with an always interesting roster of beers that will pair brilliantly with the season.

Blonde Ambition (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing has a new addition to their summer roster that deftly balances sweet and spicy flavors. Designed as sessionable summertime option, Lakewood Fruition Pineapple Ginger Blonde is a 4.2% ABV American Blonde Ale juicy, sweet pineapple notes and a subtle kick of ginger spice.

“If you don’t walk through our doors a beer lover, we hope you’ll find your perfect match by the time you leave,” said Wim Bens, founder and president of Lakewood Brewing Company. “We keep two dozen options rotating on tap that range from IPAs and lagers to popular seasonal releases and new varieties like Fruition Pineapple Ginger.”

Something Extra  (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has a dark new year round that definitely has something “extra” going on . Built on a galaxy’s worth of oats and dark malts, Tröegs Night Gazer is a 7.1% ABV Extra Stout with layers of dark roast, toffee and cocoa notes that linger, and a robust mouthfeel. An Extra Stout sits right in the middle of the stout family. It is stronger than a regular stout. However, it is lighter than an Imperial stout.

“We’ve always been mindful about offering a diversity of styles in our year-round lineup,” said Tröegs co-founder and brewmaster John Trogner. “Night Gazer brings something new and delicious for dark beer lovers.”

Hammer Time (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing is celebrating its 30th anniversary (yep, it’s been that long) with a new Speedway  Barrel-Aged Stout variation that gets aggressive with coffee.

Inspired by the eye-opening Hammerhead coffee drink, (a shot of espresso added to brewed coffee), AleSmith Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout: Hammerhead Edition (2025) is a massive 13.46% ABV Imperial Stout with layers of vanilla, spice, and dried fruit tones, that was  brewed with a blend of crushed Ethiopian and espresso beans for an even more intense coffee flavor.

AleSmith’s extra eye-opening Speedway Stout variation is currently available online for direct shipping to California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Virginia. So you know what to do.
