New Barrel-Aged Farmhouse Ales And Summer Seasonals

, New Barrel-Aged Farmhouse Ales And Summer SeasonalsSpring is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the season with a variety of ambitious new offerings that are fun and user-friendly…

Perfect (Pensacola, FL) – Did you know that Pensacola ranks 9th in the country for breweries per capita? America’s first settlement is now home to 15 breweries and growing. And one our favorites, Perfect Plain Brewing, just sent us something to savor.

Produced as part of Perfect Plain’s The Well venue, which is scheduled to open this fall, Hot Breeze is a 100% gin barrel-aged Farmhouse Ale with strawberries and kiwifruit, that’s worth chasing down. (5% ABV)

New From The N/A Corner (Columbus, OH) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way’s since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And BrewDog USA has a new addition to its Alcohol-Free roster that is bright, tart and fruity. Brewed with bold raspberry flavors and lightly sour, BrewDog Faux Fox is a true fruit-forward Berliner with less than 0.5% alcohol, only 29 calories, and attitude to spare.

Hoppiness On Steroids (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing is returning a seasonal High Altitude Series release, which is the hoppiest and one of the strongest beers that they have ever produced. This year’s Sierra Nevada Hoptimum is an 11% ABV Triple IPA  that is brewed with Magnum, Idaho 7, El Dorado, and Mosaic hops on the hot side, and dry hopped at the finish with Citra, Mosaic lupulin powder, Loral, and Magnum hops.

“Traditionally, we try to maintain that piney, citrusy flavor because it’s what we’re known for,” explains James Conery, Innovation Manager and brewer at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “This beer contains the best lots of the hop pick, and has that piney, citrusy flavor with a little bit of dank and stonefruit in there for a twist.”
