Summer is ON! And American craft brewers are addressing the warm weather with smart new beer offerings you’re gonna need to have around.
AC/DC Beers (Walnut Creek, CA) – KnuckleBonz, a music merchandising company focused on high-end products for music enthusiasts since 2003, and Calicraft Brewing have announced the release of two officially licensed AC/DC beers slated for mid-September rollout, in select retail outlets throughout CA and AZ.
AC/DC PWR UP Juicy IPA is a 66.6% ABV India Pale Ale with bright passionfruit, ripe peaches, and juicy mandarin notes.
AC/DC TNT Double IPA is an 8.2% ABV India Pale Ale with explosive flavors of fresh cut grapefruit, sweet mango, and fresh pine.
“We are beyond excited to be collaborating with Calicraft on a new line of craft beers for music superfans,” says Tony Simerman, CEO of KnuckleBonz, Inc. There’s not a better band than AC/DC to kick this off.”
Imperialism (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing has announced the first line extension off of its flagship 420 brand. A fresh take on ingredients from the original SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale, SweetWater Imperial IPA is a MASSIVE yet approachable 9.1% ABV India Pale Ale that is crafted with a traditional and modern blend of ten hops.
“We took the original base recipe from our 420 Extra Pale Ale, then dialed it up with more malt and hop varieties to deliver bigger, bolder flavor and flip it to an IPA,” said Brew Master Mark Medlin. “This true-to-style imperial IPA has a malty sweetness balanced with a variety of hops to create flavor and aromas of mango, peach, pineapple, citrus, and pine. While the flavor journey is much more intense, 420 Imperial IPA still finishes clean just like its namesake.”
Fresh, Juicy And Sessionable (Columbus, OH) – BrewDog USA has what the brewery refers to as a “fully automated IPA” that is currently available as part of its BrewDog Summer Mixed pack. Brightly infused with fresh fruit, BrewDog Clockwork Tangerine is a 4.5% ABV Session IPA with juicy citrus and mellow tropical fruit tones resting on a light toasty and caramel base.
