NFL Great Joe Theismann to Speak at NBWA’s 79th Annual Convention
Champion Quarterback, Broadcaster and Entrepreneur Will Speak on Tuesday, September 27
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Former Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann will speak at the National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) 79th Annual Convention at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Theismann will speak during the general session on Tuesday, September 27.
Theismann achieved fame in his 12 seasons with the Washington Redskins, where he was a two-time Pro Bowler and led the team to consecutive appearances in Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XVIII. During his football career, he was voted the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and was twice named both the Pro Bowl’s Most Valuable Player and the NFL’s Man of the Year.
His successful quarterback career ended at age 35 after sustaining a broken leg during a nationally televised game against the New York Giants. With such an abrupt end to his career, Theismann learned firsthand how to think, analyze and reinvent in the face of adversity and change.
Theismann is a familiar face off the field, as well, having called NFL games and Super Bowls alongside the likes of Frank Gifford, Don Meredith, Bob Papa and Matt Millen.
“Joe Theismann is going to be talking with us about how passion, leadership and teamwork can all combine to create a comprehensive game plan for success,” said NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser.

The last day to make hotel reservations and receive the discounted room rate is August 31, 2016. The NBWA guest room block can sell out prior to this date. Once the block is sold out, room rates cannot be guaranteed.
