Truss Beverage co., which bills itself as “a beverage company, not a cannabis company,” has just released it’s much anticipated line of cannabis-infused drinks in Canada.

A joint venture between Molson Coors and Gatineau, Quebec-based Hexo, a leading cannabis grower which began in 2018, this ‘heady’ new line of cannabis-infused drinks marks a further extension of Molson Coors’ beyond-beer ambitions.

A Truss consumer survey found a growing percentage of legal-age Canadians tried a cannabis-infused beverage so that they could consume cannabis without smoking it. The joint venture, and its launch of non-alcoholic cannabis beverages, is Molson Coors’ latest foray into categories beyond the beer aisle.

According to the Ottawa Business Journal Truss is but the latest company to enter the Canadian market, “Cannabis retailers are already selling Everie products from Fluent Beverage Co., a joint venture between Anheuser-Busch InBev and B.C. pot company Tilray Inc.
