Turns out beer lends itself to longevity, at least for one World War vet. And MillerCoors celebrated the centenarian’s 101st birthday by sending him a special fridge packed with his daily fix,

Here’s the deal…

Unconcerned that its actions might lead thousands to alter their birth certificates so that they too would qualify for the free beer bonanza, MillerCoors celebrated one individual’s long life and service with a refrigerator full of his favorite beer.

Andrew E. Slavonic, who celebrated his 101st birthday on Dec. 1 with his family and friends in McMurray, PA told Fox News that he has been drinking one Coors Light every day at 4 pm for the past 15 years.

Blue mountain cold!

“In 1996, he actually started drinking regular Coors beer,” Andrew’s son, Bob Slavonic explained. “He switched to Coors Light beer about 15 years ago. I think I am the one to blame for the switch because that is all that I have been drinking for about the past 25 years.”

“Around 4:00 pm he tells me that it’s time for our beer,” Bob said. “He gets his Coors Light from the garage beer fridge and enjoys a nice cold one. “The bluer the mountains are on the can, the better,” Bob added.

Not surprisingly Slavonic’s charming admission went viral… And that’s when MillerCoors stepped in sent him a late birthday present, a branded fridge with his favorite beer.

It also came with a message from the company reading: “On behalf of the entire Coors Light family, we wanted to wish you a Happy 101st Birthday. We wanted to personally thank you for your years of service and being a lifelong fan of Coors Light.”

Along with the beer, MillerCoors also invited Andrew and Bob on an all-expenses paid trip to the headquarters in Colorado for a tour of the brewery.

Upon receiving the unexpected birthday present from MillerCoors, Slavonic’s son admitted that the look on his father’s face “was absolutely priceless.”
