, Julia Herz Returns To The Brewers Association In New RoleOne of craft beer’s most recognizable voices is returning to the Brewers Association as the executive director of the American Homebrewers Association.

We were shocked when the Brewers Association let her go and happy to learn that Julia Herz is returning.

On November 29 The Brewers Association, (BA) the Boulder, Colorado-based craft beer not-for-profit trade association announced the return  of Julia Herz, who exited the organization in 2020, this time as the executive director of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) the BA’s homebrewing arm.

With more than two decades of experience in the brewing industry, including two prior roles at the Brewers Association, Herz is one of craft beer’s most informed and passionate voices.

She’s also an award-winning homebrewer, a BJCP certified beer judge, an Advanced Cicerone, a beer educator, and co-author of Beer Pairing: The Essential Guide from the Pairing Pros and CraftBeer.com’s Beer & Food Course.

Herz’s accomplishments include creating and publishing Craftbeer.com where she served as Editor for a period, overseeing the BA’s beer holidays and spearheading the organization’s  independent craft brewer seal campaign.
