Stella Artois has hired an accomplished player to be part of its television spot. And the award-winning Actor, DJ, and Producer Idris Elba, has not only signed on to be in it, but he’s also its creative director.

Set in New York City and creative directed by Elba along with award-winning Director Henry Scholfield, the TV spot also behind Dua Lipa’s music video New Rules.
The commercial tells the story of how one man’s ordinary summer is another man’s extraordinary vacation through a series of scenarios that make home the place you want to write home about. It also features a never before streamed track produced by Idris himself.
And in it Idris (who’s also does resident DJ duties at raves in Ibiza) makes a convincing argument that rethinking how you see wherever you are “can give summer some added oomph.”
The ad, created by VaynerMedia, will be broadcast nationally in 15-second and 30-second spots throughout the summer. And social platforms that appeal to the brand’s key consumer passion points of food, entertainment and lifestyle will be fed it as well.
